Dance - Education Concentration, with Teacher Certification in Dance (Preschool-Grade 12) (B.A.)

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Dance with a Dance Education concentration prepares students to teach dance in public schools. Successful graduates will earn New Jersey teaching certification in Dance P-12. Students must apply and be admitted to the Teacher Education program, which generally happens in the Spring of the sophomore year. For further information, see the BA in Dance. (Note: Students in all Theatre & Dance majors must pass yearly juries/portfolio reviews for continuation in the pre-professional programs.)

120 credits of coursework is required for the baccalaureate degree with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.  Major GPA requirements differ depending on field of study. Consult the Teacher Education Program Handbook for more information.
