Dance Major (B.F.A.)

Program Overview

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Dance program combines conservatory-based training in many genres of dance with a liberal arts curriculum to prepare students for careers as professional dancers. Students are offered ample opportunities to choreograph and perform in conjunction with their coursework. The program is based within the Department of Theatre & Dance.  For further information, go to BFA Dance. Curriculum Requirements

Dance BFA students must:

  1. attain the Advanced level in one dance technique and Intermediate in the other for at least one semester prior to graduation; and
  2. complete the major course requirements listed below:

Students must complete 22 credits of General Education requirements and 3-9 credits of World Languages and Cultures Requirements.
