This can become particularly problematic in surveys since the default in statistical packages is to exclude all “cases” with missing values for any variable. In this course, methods for handling missing data are considered. MCAR and MAR mechanisms are introduced, complete case versus available case methods are compared, and the multiple imputation approach is applied to real datasets using statistical software.
