Economics (B.A.) (Combined B.A./M.B.A. Business Administration)

Economics is situated at the intersection of social sciences and business disciplines. It provides insight into a wide array of questions about money, markets, productivity and wealth. Organizations across industries use economic analysis and quantitative methods to study and forecast business, sales, and other market trends. A combined BA Economics/MBA degree prepares students for the broader business world and gives them an opportunity to earn a highly visible professional degree in a shorter period of time.

The “4 + 1” Bachelor’s/MBA is a five-year program, during which students will spend three years taking courses required for their chosen bachelor’s degree program and in their fourth year, they will complete (along with required undergraduate program courses) 6 credits worth of graduate business (MBA) coursework. This will satisfy both undergraduate degree requirements and count toward achievement of the MBA degree. In the fifth year, students will take graduate courses required for a General MBA, in a full-time format. Students interested in this option can find more information regarding program requirements on the University's Combined Programs website.
